『HIT SONG MAKERS グループサウンズ・スペシャル』
ナレーションを野宮さんが担当します。
今や世界中が注目する日本の「CITY POP」。その源流ともいえるのが、1960年代後半に巻き起こったグループサウンズ・ブームだった。沢田研二のザ・タイガースや萩原健一のザ・テンプターズをはじめ、わずか数年に200にも及ぶエレキバンドが結成され、若者を中心に一大センセーションを巻き起こした。さらに堺正章、井上順をフロントマンとするザ・スパイダース、マニアの間でいまだに熱烈なファンをもつザ・ゴールデン・カップスなど、高い音楽性やエンターテインメント性を誇るグループも人気となった。その堺正章はゴールデンカップスからのちにゴダイゴを立ち上げてこれも大ヒットを連発したミッキー吉野、そして自らドラムをたたきながら音楽活動を続けるシシド・カフカとともに「堺正章 to MAGNETS」を結成。番組はこの「堺正章 to MAGNETS」を中心に当時の様子を知るミュージシャン、関係スタッフへの証言をもとに「グループサウンズとは何だったのか？」を検証していきます。
さらに堺正章らによるザ・スパイダースの名曲「あの時君は若かった」「バン・バン・バン」、ゴダイゴの名曲「モンキー・マジック」、森本太郎、瞳みのるらによるザ・タイガースの「シーサイド・バウンド」、ザ・ワイルド・ワンズのメンバーによる「想い出の渚」などの名曲をスタジオライブでお贈りします。
